so to find k,

we can make the constant same and equate the lines as follows:-

2(2x+3y=5) => 4x+6y=10 ....(1)

4x+ky=10 ....(2)

as the value on the right hand side are equal,

we can equate these equations,

4x+ky=4x+6y

subtracting 4x from both sides we get,

4x-(4x+ky)=4x-(4x+6y)

(-ky)=(-6y)

cut "-y" from both sides;

k=6
