Answer:

Given that:

Length=50m

Perimeter of Park or Rectangle=156m

To find:

the cost of turfing at ₹4.50 per sq. meter.

Solution

Perimeter of Park or Rectangle=2(length+Breadth)

156 m=2(50m+breadth)

 \frac{156}{2}  = 50m + breadth

78m=50m+breadth

78m-50m=breadth

28m=Breadth

Hence, Breadth=28m

Now,

Area of Rectangle=length×breadth

=50m×28m

=1400m²

Cost of turfing at ₹4.50 per sq. meter=₹4.50×1400

=₹6300

Hence, the cost of turfing at ₹4.50 per sq. meter is ₹6300
