If D is the diameter then let D = 2r, where r is the radius of the circle. Then,
2πr = 44 => r = 44/2π = 44× 7/44 = 7cm
If r = 7cm, then 2r = 14cm = D
Thus your answer is 14cm

➡ Undoubtedly, here "D" represents the actual diameter of that circle.

➡ So, first of all we know that, perimeter of circle = 2πr (where, π = 22/7, r is radius of that circle)

➡ We can make 2πr and 44 equal because 2πr and 44 cm both represents the actual perimeter of this circle.

➡ Therefore, 2πr = 44
=>2×(22/7)×r = 44
=> 44/7 × r = 44
=> r = {(44×7)/44} cm.
=> r = 7 cm.

➡ So, ultimately, we get radius of the circle (r) = 7 cm.

➡ We also know that, Diameter of a circle (D) = 2×Radius of that circle (r)
= (2×7) cm.
= 14 cm.
