Required Answer :

Area of the garden = 32

Given :

  • Perimeter of the garden = 24 m
  • Width of the garden = 4 m

To find :

  • Area of the garden = ?

Solution :

Using formula,

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + w)

where,

  • l denotes the length
  • w denotes the width

Substituting the given values :

⇒ 24 = 2(l + 4)

⇒ 24/2 = l + 4

⇒ 12 = l + 4

⇒ 12 - 4 = l

⇒ 8 = l

Therefore, length of the garden = 8 m

Using formula,

  • Area of rectangle = l × w

Substituting the given values :

⇒ Area = 8 × 4

⇒ Area = 32 m²

Therefore, area of the garden = 32 m²

To find : area of rectangle

Given : perimeter of garden = 24\ m , width = 4\ m .

Solution :

  • As per the given data we know that perimeter of garden is 24\ m24\ m and width is 4\ m , to find area of rectangle we need to find length of rectangle .
  • We use following formula to find perimeter :
  • Perimeter of circle = 2 ( l + b )

                                   24 = 2 ( l + 4 ) \\24 = 2l + 8 \\2l =16 \\l =8

  • Therefore , length of rectangle garden is 8\ m .
  • Now , area of garden = l \times b

                                            = 8m \times 4m\\=32\ m^{2}

Hence , area of rectangular garden is 32\ m^{2} .
