let the base be x area of parallelogram = b×h = 210= x× 7=210 so x= 210÷7=30 then let the adjacent side be y so y + y +30+30= 140 =2y+60=140 =2y=140-60 2y = 80=y= 80÷2=40m

Anonymous: becoz 7m is height
Anonymous: but not the length of the //gm
Anonymous: length of the side of the //gm

heya buddy

here is your answer

Perimeter of parallelogram is 140m

distance between the opposite sides is 7m

=> height of parallelogram is 7m

and also , area is 210 sq m

=> base = area / height

base = 210/7 = 30m

there fore length of base of //gm is 30m

=> 2 opposite sides of //gm are 30m,30m
as the base of the parallelogram is also a side of the parallelogram

remaining 2 sides = Perimeter of parallelogram - length of 2 sides

= 140 - 60 = 80m

=> length of one side = 80/2 = 40

there fore length of 2 adjacent sides are 40m , 30m
