The perimeter of rectangle is 64cm

the perimeter of square is 64

thus the one of the side of square is 64/4=16

therefore the area =s*s 16*16 =256

Step-by-step explanation:

Question:-

If the perimeter of a rectangle is 64m,then what will be the area of a square having the same perimeter ?

Answer:-

Given :-

The given figure is a square and rectangle.

Perimeter of rectangle is 64m.

Perimeter of square is also 64m.

To find :-

Area of the square

Process :-

As we had already read that :-

Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of square

Side of Square:-

⇒Side \: of \: square = \frac{Perimeter}{4} \\ \\ ⇒Side \: of \: square = \frac{64}{4} \\ \\ ⇒Side \: of \: square = 16 \: m

Area of Square:-

⇒Area \: of \: square = Side× Side \\ \\ ⇒Area \: of \: square = (16×16)m \\ \\ ⇒Area \: of \: square = 256m

More to know

⇒Area \: of \: rectangle = Length × Breadth \\ \\ ⇒Perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 2(L+B) \\ \\ ⇒Length \: of \: rectangle = \frac{Breadth}{Area} \\ \\ ⇒Breadth \: of \: rectangle = \frac{Length}{Area} \\ \\ ⇒Side \: of \: square = \sqrt{Area} \\ \\

Hope it helps you...
