if the perimeter of a rectangle is 180 meters and the difference between the length and the breadth is 8 meters what is the area of the rectangle

perimeter = 4×lenght=180 , length =180÷4. Lenght =20 length - breath = 8. Breadth=20-8 =12

let the breadth and length of a rectangle be l and b
now, the difference between the length and breadth =8m
l-b=8_eq.1
and, perimeter =180m
l+b=180_eq.2
add eq.1 and 2
l+b+l-b=180+8
2l=188
l=188/2
l=92m
since, l+b=180
92+b=180
b=180-92
b=88
area of rectangle =l x b
= 92 x 88
=8096
