Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter=46m. Area=120m²

perimeter of rectangle

=>2(L+B)=46

=>(L+B)=46/2

=>(L+B)=23

=>B=23-L (eq.1)

Now,area of rectangle,

=>LxB=120

=>Lx(23-L)=120.(by putting the value of B from eq1)

=>23xL-LxL=120

=>23L-L²=120

=>L²-23L+120=0

=>L²-15L-8L+120= 0

=>L(L-15)-8(L-15)= 0

=>(L-8)(L-15)= 0

=>L =8, 15

Hence, length of the rectangle is 15m and

breadth = 8 m.

or,if the length is breadth of rectangle is larger than length then,

length=8m and breadth=15.

hope the answer is helpful
