Answer:

Given :-

  • Perimeter = 35 cm
  • Ratio = 3:2

To Find :-

Length and Breadth

Solution :-

As we know that

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

Let the length and breadth be 3x and 2x.

 \sf \: 35 = 3(3x + 2x)

 \sf \: 35 = 2(5x)

 \sf \: 35 = 10x

 \sf \: x \:  = 3.5

Sides are

Length => 3(3.5) = 10.5

Breadth => 2(3.5) = 7

Given :-

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 35cm
  • Ratio of Length and Breadth = 3:2

 \\  \\

To Find :-

  • Measures of Length and Breadth.

 \\  \\

Solution :-

Let the Length be 3x

Let the Breadth be 2x

According to the Question :-

⇒ Perimeter = 2 (Length + Breadth)

⇒ 35 = 2 ( 3x + 2x )

⇒ 35 = 2 × 5x

⇒ 35 = 10x

⇒ 35 / 10 = x

⇒ 3.5 = x

________________

Verification :-

⇒ Perimeter = 2 (Length + Breadth)

⇒ 35 = 2 ( 3x + 2x )

⇒ 35 = 2 ( 3 × 3.5 + 2 × 3.5 )

⇒ 35 = 2 ( 10.5 + 7 )

⇒ 35 = 2 × 17.5

⇒ 35 = 35

Hence, Verified

Therefore, :

  • Length = 3x = 3 × 3.5 = 10.5cm
  • Breadth = 2x = 2 × 3.5 = 7cm

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle :

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(Length)² + (Breadth)²
