ANSWER :-

LENGTH = 60 M

STEP - BY - STEP EXPLANATION :-

PERIMETER = 200 M

BREADTH = 40 M

LENGTH = ?

FORMULA OF PERIMETER = 2 X ( L + B )

200 = 2 X ( L + 40 )

200 = 2L + 80

200 - 80 = 2L

120 = 2L

\frac{120}{2} = L

60 M = LENGTH

  • Here, in this question value of perimeter and breadth is given. We'll put the formula of perimeter of the rectangle and solve this.

  \sf :  \implies \: Perimeter_{(rectangle)}  = 2(length + breadth)

 \:

 \sf :  \implies \: 200 = 2(l + 40)

 \:

 \sf :  \implies \:  \cancel \dfrac{200}{2}  = l + 40

 \:

 \sf :  \implies \: 100 = l + 40

 \:

 \sf :  \implies \: l = 100 - 40

 \:

 \sf :  \implies \: \bold{ l = 60m}

 \:

\sf\therefore{\underline{Hence, \: the \: length \: of \: the \: rectangular \: field \: is \: \bold{60m}. }}
