IT IS GIVEN THAT, 2(l+b)=46 => l+b=23 and lb=120 => (l-b)^2 = (l+b)^2 - 4lb = 23^2-4(120) = 529-480 = 49 l-b = 7 l+b = 23 =>2l =30 l=15 and b=8

Given :-
perimeter p = 46 cms = 2(l+b)
area = l×b = 120 cm²
requried : l = ?
b =?
solution :
-> (l+b) ^2 = (l+b)^2 - 4lb
-> 23 ^ 2-4 (120 ) = 529 - 480
= 49
so, l - b = 7 cm
and now l+b = 23
-> 2L = 30
30 ÷2
soo 15 is the length
and now coming to breadth
l + b = 23
so now subtract l from 23
L + B = 23
B= 23 - 15
B = 8 cm
