Given :

A semicircle protector having perimeter = 88 cm

To Find :

Diameter of that protector .

Solution :

Perimeter of a semi circle = 88 cm

½ π d = 88 cm

 \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{22}{7} \times d = 88 \\ \frac{11}{7} \times d = 88 \\ d = 88 \times \frac{7}{11} \\ d = 8 \times 7 \\ d = 56
The measure of the diameter is 56 cm .

What is a semicircle ?

=> A semicircle is a half circle .

What is a circle ?

=> A circle is a closed figure.

It is 2 dimensional .

It is having infinite number of radii and infinite number of radius.

What is the relation between radius and the diameter of a circle ?

=> A radius is doubled of the diameter.

And its vice versa also :

=> A diameter of the circle is half of the radius of the given circle .

★Area of a circle :

πr²

★Perimeter of a circle :

2πr

or

πd

What is π ?

=> Whenever you divide the circumference of the given circle by its radius the value remains always same , i.e. 22/7 or 3.14 approx.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

A semicircle protector having perimeter = 88 cm

To Find :

Diameter of that protector .

Solution :

Perimeter of a semi circle = 88 cm

½ π d = 88 cm

\begin{lgathered}\frac{1}{2} \times \frac{22}{7} \times d = 88 \\ \frac{11}{7} \times d = 88 \\ d = 88 \times \frac{7}{11} \\ d = 8 \times 7 \\ d = 56\end{lgathered}
