If the perimeter of a square and a rectangle are equal, which of the two has greater area?​

Answer:

we know that the perimeter of square is 4a and the rectangle is 2 (l+b)

now according to the question

4a = 2 (l+b)

2a= l+b

a= l+b/2

now the area of square is a^2

=( l+b/2)^2

=((2l+b)/2)^2

4l^2+b^2+4lb/4

now the area of rectangle is l×b

hence the area of rectangle is greater.....
