Perimeter of a square is p=4s , where s is the length of the side. Let’s plug in the perimeter and see where that takes us.

16=4s

s=4

So, we know that the square has 4 sides of length 4cm. The formula for area of a square is a=s2 , so let’s plug in the side length to get the area!

a=42

a=16

Thus, the area is 16cm2 .

Given:-

The perimeter of square is 16 cm

To find - area of square

solution:-

Let the breadth and length be x

The perimeter of square is = l × b

16 = x × x

16 = x²

x = 4

So, the length is 4 and breadth also 4

Area of square = (side)²

= ( 4 )²

Area of square is 16 cm²
