If the perimeter of a square is 40 cm , find (a) the length of a diagonal , and (b) its area.

Perimeter of a square =40cm

4*side=40

Side= 40/4

Side= 10

. '. Diagonal of a square= √2*side

=√2*10

=10√2cm

=10*1.4142=14.1cm

Area of a square = (side) ²

=(10) ²

=100cm²
