Let length be ( x ) m and breadth be ( x / 3 ) m

Perimeter = 40

2( length + breadth ) = 40

Length + Breadth = 40

x + ( x / 3 ) = 40

( 3x + x ) / 3 = 20

4x = 20*3

x = ( 20 * 3 ) / 4

x = 5 * 3

x = 15

Hence, Length = 15 m

Breadth = ( 15 / 3 ) m = 5 m

Heya !!

Let Length of rectangle be X m.

Breadth of rectangle = X/3 m

Perimeter = 40 m

2 ( l + b ) = 40 m

x + x/3 = 20

3x + x = 20×3

x = (20×3/4)

x = 15 m

Length of rectangle = X = 15 m

And,

Breadth of rectangle = x/3 = 5 m
