if the perimeter of a square is 48. cm, then find its area.

perimeter of square = 4a

48 = 4 a

a = |2

side of square = |2

area of square = side ×side.

= |2× |2

= |44cm2

perimeter of square= 4×side

side=48/4=12

area of square=side×side

=12×12

=144sq.cm
