To find : area of park

Given : perimeter of square is 64\ m .

Solution :

  • We know that all four sides of square are equal .
  • If ' a ' is the side of square then perimeter of square is given by,
  • Perimeter of square $=4 a$
  • Therefore, by substituting the value in above formula we find side of square .
  • 64 = 4a

       a = \frac{64}{4} \\a = 16

  • Area of square park = a^{2}

                                         = (16)^{2}  \\= 256

Hence, area of square is 256 \ m^{2} .
