To find : length of a wire required to fence with

            ( i) \ 1 \ round\\( ii)\  2 \ rounds\\(iii) \ 3 \ rounds

Given : perimeter of square = 220 \ m

Solution :

  • Perimeter of square : it is the total length of boundary of a square .
  • To find perimeter we add all four length of square .
  • As we know all the sides of square are equal, then let 'a' be the length of side then  formula to find perimeter is

                  perimeter = 4\ a

  • we are given that perimeter of squared ground is 220 \ m.
  • to find length of wire to fence with number of rounds , we multiply number of round  by perimeter.
  1. for 1 round :

        length of wire = 1 \times 220 \ m

                                 = 220 \ m

     2. for 2 rounds :

         length of wire = 2 \times 220 \ m

                                  = 440 \ m

      3. for 3 rounds :

           length of wire = 3 \times 220 \ m

                                    = 660\ m

Hence , length of wire required for fencing for1 1  round , 2 rounds , 3 rounds is 220\ m, 440\ m , 660\ m respectively .
