If the perimeter of a triangle is 32 cm and the sides are 8 cm and 11 cm

To Find :-

Area

Solution :-

Let the third side be c

• Perimeter = a + b + c
• 32 = 8 + 11 + c
• 32 = 19 + c
• 32 - 19 = c
• 13 = c

Now,

• Semperimeter = a + b + c/2
• Semiperimeter = 8 + 11 + 13/2
• Semiperimeter = 32/2
• Semiperimeter = 16 cm

Now,

• Area = √s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)
• Area = √16(16 - 8)(16 - 11)(16 - 13)
• Area = √16(8)(5)(3)
• Area = √1920
• Area = 43.81 cm²

∴ Area is 43.81 cm²
