Given: Perimeter of an equilateral triangle= 48 cm

To Find: Area of the triangle

Solution: As triangle is equilateral so it's all sides will be equal in length.

Let it's sides be a, b , c

So, a + b + c = 48 cm

Since a=b=c

=> a + a + a = 48

=> 3a = 48

=> a = 16 cm

Semi-perimeter of the triangle = s = 48/2= 24

So area of triangle= ✓s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

= ✓24(24-16)(24-16)(24-16)

= ✓ 24(8)(8)(8)

= 110.85 cm^2

Answer: The area of triangle is 110.85 cm^2
