Perimetre=sum of 3 sides of a triangle
Here, Two sides are equal (isosceles triangle)
Let x as equal side
x+x+5=11
2x=11-5
x=3

Height bisects the base in isosceles triangle so
H^2= 3^2-2 2.5^2 (phythagorean theorem)
H^2= 9-6.25
H^2= 7.25
H= 2.69cm
Area = 1/2base×height
1/2×5×2.69=2.5×2.69=6.72 cm sq.(ans)
