here perimeter of circle or circumference = 2(pi)r
and perimeter of semicircle =2(pi)R/2 = (pi) R. now according to question 2(pi)r = (pi)(R)
r= R/2 or R = 2r
area of circle: area of semicircle
pi(r)^2 : 1/2×(pi)(2r)^2
r^2 : 2r ^2
1 : 2
