Perimeter of Square = 4s where s = side

Since it’s perimeter = 80 cm therefore the side length = 20 cm

Area of Square = s^2 = 20^2 = 400

Area of Rectangle = 400 + 100 = 500 as stated in the problem.

The side of the square represents the width of the rectangle which is 20 cm.

In finding the length, you must divide the area to the width therefore..

500 / 20 = 25 cm

So.. L=25 cm W=20 cm
