If the perimeter of the rectangle is 450 cm and the sides are in the ratio 4: 5, find the length of the rectangle?

Answer:

Let the sides be 4x and 5x

perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b)

450 cm = 2 ( 4x + 5x)

450 cm = 18x

x = 25 cm

hence, length = 4x = 4 × 25cm = 100cm
