If the planaria and octopus have eye but fall in which group

Insects, octopus planaria are invertebrates.They do not have back bone and vertebrates do have a backbone.Moreover, they belong to different phyla.Therefore jut on the basis that they have eyes we cannot group them together.We need to have a broader basis such as cellularity , type of food for their classification.
