Plants can not possibly grow when they are kept indoors without getting direct sunlight. They will grow well if the table is near a window with no shades or if kept under artificial ' grow lights'. If the plant is not placed under such conditions, it will wilt and ultimately die as no photosynthesis can occur under such a condition.
