Given Values

( -1, -5)

We know that in a given bracket, for example this → ( -1 , -5 ), -1 is the value on 'X' axis and -5 is the value on 'Y' axis.

Hence,

x = -1

y = -5

Finding 'a'

3x = ay + 7

3(-1) = a(-5) + 7

-3 = -5a + 7

5a = 7 + 3

5a = 10

a = \mathsf{\frac{10}{5}}

a = 2
