Given: (-1,-5) lies on the graph

therefore, x= -1 and y= -5

now,

3x= ay+7

3(-1)=a(-5)+7

→ -3= -5a +7

→ 5a= 7+3=10

→ a= 10/5=2//

Also,

-5=b(-1)+7

→ -5=-b+7

→ b= 7+5= 12//

Answer:

a=2 and b=12

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

(-1,-5) lies on the graph

Therefore , x = -1 and y = -5

Now ,

3x = ay+7

3(-1) = a(-5)+7

-3 = -5a+7

5a = 7+3

5a = 10

a = 10/5

a = 2

y = bx+7

(-5) = b(-1)+7

-5 = -b+7

b = 7+5

b = 12
