Hey
The given equation is :-
5x + at = 4
And ,
A point P ( 2 , -2 ) lies on it .
So ,
x = 2
y = -2
Concept to be used :-
If we put the value of x and y in this equation , then the equation will become 0 .
So ,
5x + ay - 4 = 0
=> 5 ( 2 ) + a ( - 2 ) - 4 = 0
=> 10 - 2a - 4 = 0
=> 6 - 2a = 0
=> 2a = 6
=> a = 3
thanks :)
