If the points A(-2,1) B (a,b) and C (4,1)are collinear and a-b=1 find a and b

You can see that points A and C have same oordinate (y axis) . i. e. 1.

Since point B lies on the same line, its oordinate b will also be equal to 1.

And a-b=1

Putting value of b as 1, we get,

a-1=1

Thus a=2

Thus a=2 and b=1 coordinates of point B are (2,1). Hope you got it
