Abscissa means x co-ordinate of a point in Cartesian plane.

∴(abscissa P)−(abscissa Q)=2−(−4)=6

SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

If the points are A(0, -3) and B(-4, 5) then find ( Abscissa of A ) - ( Ordinate of B )

EVALUATION

Here the given points are

A(0, -3) and B( - 4, 5)

Then

Abscissa of A = 0

Ordinate of B = 5

Hence we have

( Abscissa of A ) - ( Ordinate of B )

= 0 - 5

= - 5
