if the polynomial f(x)=x^4-6x^3+16x^2-25x+10 is divided by another polynomial x^2-2x+p. the remainder comes out to be x+q. find p&q

Given that the remainder is (x + q)
⇒ (4k – 25 + 16 – 2p)x + [10 – p(8 – p) ] = x + q
⇒ (2p – 9)x + [10 – 8p+ p2 ] = x + q
On comparing both the sides, we get
2p  – 9 = 1
⇒ 2p = 10
∴ p = 5
Also 10 – 8p + p2 = q
⇒ 10 – 8(5) + 52 = q
⇒ 10 – 40 + 25 = q
∴ q= – 5
