x⁴+2x³+8x²+12x+8 is divided by x²+5
then, x²+5=0
x²=-5
X=√-5

=(√-5)⁴+2(√-5)³+8(√-5)²+12(√-5)+8
=25-10√-5-40+12√-5+8
=25+8-40-10√-5+12√-5
=-7+2√-5
=2√-5 -7

X=√-5
a=2
b=7

ax+b=2×√-5+7

a - b = 2-(-7) = 9
