  • g(x)= x-2
  • g(x)=x-2=0=x=0+2=2
  • first equation = p(x)=p(2)=a(2)^3+3(2)^2-13

=8a+12-13=8a-1.

  • second equation = p(2)=2(2)^3-5(2)+a

=2(8)-10+a=16-10+a

=6+a.

  • value of a = 8a-1=6+a

= 8a-a=6+1= 7a=7

= a = 7/7 = a = 7.
