Step-by-step explanation:

Polynomial x³+ax²+5 and x³-2x²+a leave same Remainder When divided by X+2

Using Remainder Theroem

x+2=0

x=-2

f(x)=x³+ax²+5

Put (-2) as value of x in given Polynomial

f(-2)=-2³+a×-2²+5

=-8+4a+5

4a-3

Remainder when x+2 is divided by x³+ax²+5 is (4a-3)

Now

f(x)=x³+2x²+a

Put -2 on place of x

.f(-2)=-2³+2×-2²+a

-8+8+a

=a

Both Polynomial have same Remainder.

a=4a-3

3=4a-a

3a=3

a=3/3

a=1

Value of A=1
