if the polynomoal p(x)=x^2-2x+kis divided by x-1,it leaves a remainder 10. Then what is the value of k​

Answer:

P(x) = x^2-2x+k

G(x) = x-1

Therefore, x= 1

P(x) = x^2-2x+k

P(1) = (1)^2 - 2(1) + k = 10 (because 10 is the remainder when th polynomial p(x) is divided by g(x) )

=>1 - 2 +k = 10

=> -1 + k =10

=> k = 11
