  • Increase in population = 65000 - 60000 = 5000.

Increase %  = 5000 x 100 / 60000 = 25/3%.

Earlier Population = 60000

Increased Populations = 65000

Difference = 65000 - 60000

                 = 5000

Increased % = (Difference × 100 )/ Earlier Population

                     = ( 5000 × 100 ) / 60000

                     = \frac{25}{3} %  or  8\frac{1}{3}%%
