if the position of anode and cathode is exchanged during electroplating,will the electroplating be done or not? give explainations​

Because in general for electroplating annode is made up of the the metal that is to be plated on the surface of cathode with electrolytic solution. ... If you connect cathode to negative and annode to positive instead of cathode to positive and annode to negative , I don't think the electrolytic process happens
