it's false statement that focal length of convex lens is 50cm . because focal length of convex lens is 20cm

it is given that, power of convex lens, P = + 5.0 D

we know, power of a lens is reciprocal of its focal length.

so, f = 1/P

= 1/5 D

= (1/5) m

= 0.2 m [ Dioptre is unit of power of lens. D = 1m^-1

= 0.2 × 100 = 20cm

hence, focal length of convex lens should be 20cm, if power of it is 5D.

so, given statement is false.
