Step-by-step explanation:

Age of A= 9x

age of B=4x

after 7 yrs

ratio of their ages = 9x+7upon4x+7=5/3

27x+21=20x+35

27x-20x=35-21

7x=14

x=2

so age of A = 18yrs and that of B=8yrs

hope this will help you

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ratio of A and B are 9:4 that

is equal to 9/4.

and let the common ratio be 'x'.

so, that is equal to 9x/4x

after 7 years there age will be

9x +7/ 4x+7

A,Q 9x +7/ 4x+7 = 5:3

27x + 21 = 20x + 35

27x - 20x = 35-21

7x = 14

x = 14/7

x = 2

there for the present age of A is 9x = 18 yrs

and the age of B is 4x= 8 yrs
