Solutions :-

Given :
The present ages of A and B are in the ratio 9 : 5
After seven years,
The ratio of their ages will be 5 : 3

Let the present age of A and B be 9x and 5x respectively.

According to the question,

 = > \frac{9x + 7}{5x + 7} = \frac{5}{3} \\ \\ = > 3( 9x + 7) = 5(5x + 7) \\ \\ = > 27x + 21 = 25x + 35 \\ \\ = > 27x - 25x = 35 - 21 \\ \\ = > 2x = 14\\ \\ = > x = \frac{14}{2} = 7

Hence,
Present age of A = 9x = 9 × 7 = 63 years
Present age of B = 5x = 5 × 7 = 35 years

Solutions :-

We have,
The present ages of A and B are in the ratio 9 : 5
seven years hence, the ratio of their ages will be 5 : 3

Let the present age of A be 9x
And Age of B be 5x

Find the value of x :-

A/q

 = > \frac{9x + 7}{5x + 7} = \frac{5}{3} \\ \\ = > 3( 9x + 7) = 5(5x + 7) \\ \\ = > 27x + 21 = 25x + 35 \\ \\ = > 27x - 25x = 35 - 21 \\ \\ = > 2x = 14\\ \\ = > x = \frac{14}{2} = 7

Answer :
Age of A = 9x = 9 × 7 = 63 years
Age of B = 4x = 5 × 7 = 35 years

Hope it helps :-)
