If the price of a watch is increased by 15%, the increase in the price is rs 90. What was the price of watch earlier?

15% was increased from the actual price and the 15%=90

then we need to find the actual price,

let the actual price be 'x',

15% of actual price = 90

or, 15/100 × x=90

or,15x = 90×100

or,x=9000/15

 x=600

so, actual price=600

hence, the price of the watch earlier was 600.
