if the price of a watch is increased by 15 %, the increase in the price is Rs 90.
what was the price of watch earlier??( Please don't give me unnecessary answer.) ​

Answer:

the price increased was 15% and it accounts for 90₹

then 15x=90

x=90/15

x=6

so 1% equals to ₹6 then 100% will stands for 6×100 =600

so the price of the watch was ₹600 earlier

price = 90

15% of P = 90

15P/100 = 90

P = 90*100/15

P = 600

hence, price of watch = 600
