if the price of carpet 8 meter long and 3 meter wide is Rs.6288,what will be the price of 12 meter long and 6 meter wide carpet?

Okay! here we go!
the 2 dimensioned carpet has a suface area of 24 m per square... and the cost of the carpet (which has 24 metre square area) is 6288 Rs. So we divide the cost by the Total Area... Then we get the cost of carpet per square metre.. which is 262 Rs per square metre.
So you find the total area of the new carpet which is 72 square metre... And you multiply the cost per square metre by the surface area of the new carpet : 72 x 262... which comes to 18864 Rs. therefore the cost of the new carpet will be 18864 Rs.
