Answer:

let price of each chair be x and price of each table be y,

then,

12x+8y=676

now multiplying both sides by 47,

we get,

47(12x+8y)=47(676)

7(3x+2y)=7(169)

21x+14y=1183

hence, price of 21 chairs and 14 tables is 1183

ans 1183

Answer:

19 chairs

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question we will use unitary method.

Price of 8 chairs= Rs.2136

Price of 1 chair = Price of chair ÷ No. of chairs

Price of 1 chair = Rs.2136 ÷ 8 = Rs 267

Now,

No. of chair which can be bought =

Total money ÷ Price of 1 chair

(Putting the values)

Rs.5073 ÷ Rs. 267 = 19

Therefore, 19 chairs are required.
