if the price of sugar is increased from rs 6 per kg to rs 7.50 per kg then how much use of sugar a person should reduce so that the expenditure on sugar does not change?​

Answer:

Let the Consumption of Sugar before the increased of rate be 1 kg.

Therefore, Expenditure at the Previous Rate = ₹6.00

Expenditure at the increased rate = ₹7.50

Since, In ₹7.50, Sugar obtained = 1 kg

Therefore, In ₹ 6.00 , Sugar obtained

 =  \frac{1 \times 6}{7.5}  \\  = 0.8kg

1 - 0.8 = 0.2 kg

Reduction in 1 kg = 0.2 kg

Therefore, Reduction in 100 kg = 0.2 × 100 = 20%
