Answer:

price of 1 kg tea =125

price of 2kg tea=125+125=250

increased value 1 kg tea =150

price of 2kg tea=150+150=300

300-250=50

50 of 10%=5

Original consumption=250

present consumption=300

expenditure = price × consumption

e = p×c

p= 125

e=125c -----A

new price, p1= 150

new consumption, c1 = c-2

new expenditure, e1 = e×(1+10%) = 1.1e

e1 = p1×c1

1.1e = 150×(c-2)

from A, substitute for e

1.1×125c = 150c - 300

137.5c = 150c -300

12.5c =300

c= 24

original consumption c = 24kgs

present consumption c1 = c-2 =22kgs
