Given :- If the price of wheat is reduced by 4%. How many kilograms of wheat a person can buy with the same money which was earlier sufficient to buy 48 kg of wheat ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, the original price of wheat is Rs. x / kg .

then,

→ Total amount he spend on buying 48 kg of wheat = 48 * x = Rs.48x .

Now,

→ New Price of wheat = x - (4% of x) = 96% of x = Rs.(0.96x) / kg .

therefore,

→ kg of wheat he will buy in same amount = (Total amount) / (New Price of wheat) = 48x/(0.96x) = (48x * 100) / 96x = 50 kg . (Ans.)

Hence, the person can buy 50 kg of wheat with the same money now.
