Assume principal to be x,

Hence using SI = (PNR)/100,

SI = (x*4*10.5)/100

Amount = Principal + SI

Amount = x + (x*4*10.5)/100

But amount is given to be 3550

So 3550 = x + (x*4*10.5)/100 So 3550 = x + 42x/100 = (100x + 42x)/100 = 142x/100 So 3550*100 = 142x So x = 2500

So Principal = Rs. 2500

3550 \times 4 = 14204 \\ 14204 \div 10 = 142 \\ 142 \times 2 = 284 \\ 284 \times 10 = 2840 \\ 2840 - 340 = 2500
